- Polymer filter was originally developed by NTT(*), and Koshin has successfully established the mass production system. Koshin is one of the largest polymer filter manufacturer in Japan and also in the world. This filter is thin enough to insert into almost any places with limited spaces for optical filters. A thickness of the filter can range from 15 um to 30 um depending on the optical specification, and with such thickness, the filter can be inserted into a slit, which is made on the fiber, wave-guide or ferrule by using a cutter.
